I will surely get involved, as I will be heading to an amphib later this year. <br /><br />One of my recommended readings, although a bit short, is "Operational Maneuver From The Sea, A concept for the Projection of Naval Power Ashore" by Gen. Krulak-CMC/USMC. Gives a good background and concept on why we shifted (or needed to shift) in maritime strategy after the Cold War. I had to complete a graded brief on both "From the Sea" and "OMFTS" as a student at the Australian Command and Staff College a few years back.
