Admiral Donald (Director, Naval Reactors) recently delivered a very good speech at the 2011 Naval Submarine League Symposium that I think you'll benefit from reading. In his remarks, ADM Donald examines the lessons learned from three tragic and unique events to remind us of the importance of keeping the fundamentals of our profession firmly in place in everything we do. Although his remarks are to the Submarine community, the six principles he identifies to help us safeguard our technology from catastrophic events are applicable to every community as well as many of the complex issues we are addressing throughout our Navy today.
Download a copy of his remarks and give it a good read. All the best, JCHjr
